The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

my primary save file became a "unusable TES file overnight" no idea what to do
i tried to play morrowind today and every time i load a file only the autosave is availible. all other saves are wiped out and it says my file is a unusable TES file and if i run "exicutable" it allows some of my files but not all of them. if i say dont run the game crashes

Just stalking the forums and saw this.....Same thing happened to me 13 years ago and it bothered me so much that I never touched the game again. Really pissed me off too because I was really enjoying the game. I still remember what I was doing. I had just found some tomb and felt a huge sense of reward for being meticulous when I looked up and looted some shield hanging above the door. Anyways, the game simply had me hooked and then BAM save file unreadable.

I don't know if this will help, but it's worth a shot. Wrye Mash [www.nexusmods.com]

I had the same thing happen to me. Luckily my autosave was near the same time as my quicksave.

Maybe it would be best to avoid the quicksave. I would use autosave or a 'normal' save.

1. Press the Esc key on the keyboard to bring up the Main Menu, then click the Save Game option.
