Having launch issues with Dead Pixels
I looked at the issues others were having with the game, and they do not seem to be the same. I installed the game like normal, then launched it. It goes through the window Steam runs as if I was starting the game for the first time (saying installing XNA and all that). Then another window that displays windows installer. But the game never launches, never starts up and it leaves me on my desktop. What is the problem here?

Hey dev here

Have you tried doing an integrity check on steam?

https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335'

It could be that something hasnt downloaded correctly.

Also try going into the folder the game installed to and running the .net installer and xna installer. They may be giving an error that is being hidden by steam.

Hope that helps, if not please get in touch.
Clicked on the link, and got this (I am signed into the support page):

I think your tips fixed that issues, but I launched the game and it started the launcher. But then I am still on my desktop, while my Steam shows I am in game.

I had a similar problem, the game was crashing on startup ( .net 4.5 + XNA installed).
I reinstalled xna using the game's installer and now everything works fine.
Thank you!

edit:
looks like the game launches normally using the .exe from the game folder,
but still returns this error if you try to launch it from your library:

Dead Pixels Launcher has encountered an error.
Version:Steam 1.1.3

Same issue here, this error only happens when I try and lauch it using my xbox 360 controller though. If I launch it without the controller on, and connect it as the game is running, all is well.
