First time playing the game tonight and on easy yes I had to use continues. With that said how hard does this game get at the later levels and how hard does it get when you play it on a harder difficulty? Anyway great game developers. I love it.

It gets pretty intense, to make sure you don't run out of ammo and money all the time, focus on melee and bartering upgrades as soon as possible and melee every zombie you can. Once you get melee skill high enough you can easily melee any non-shooting zombie for cash without spending any ammo and save up for better weapons/perks/ammo which you will need later on.

In regards to melee I was afraid to do much of it as they seemed pretty deadly and did quite a bit of damage if they hit me so I resorted to all gun play. Thanks though for pointing me in the right direction on how I can get better at the game though and get farther.

Upgrading your melee attack also increases the pushback, from the first upgrade you should have no problem stopping even small groups of zombies just using it as the front one will block the others and you can keep him at enough distance by spamming melee attacks. :)

The above guy just listed the hard way, (And i know i'm kinda necroing this but whatever) an easier way to get through the higher difficulties is to max out Speed and Health. Who needs to fight when you can run past everything?
