Insurgency. Where to start with what i think is an absolutely amazing game?
Starting out as only a mod this game has come far in my opinion.
Insurgency offers tactical team-based shooting missions and fights to its players. With a wide variety of balanced maps; and an even wider range of weapons with various attachtments to fit your playstyle. Insurgency is the perfect game for you if your into fast paced tactical and action filled fights.
One thing which i think seperates Insurgency from any other FPS is it's realism. Motion blur, wounds, body hotspots, i could go on! You ever wanted a game where you can storm the enemy lines, sliding and ducking for cover, luckily dodging bullets and winning the game for your team? Or maybe you want to lay back with a LMG and suppress your enemies, providing backup to your allies and team members and winning their favour? Well, let me tell you. This. Game. Is. That!
Before i go into more detail i'll tell you why i love Insurgency over games such as Call of Duty. As many of the fellow FPS gaming community knows, some FPS's unbalance the way they work. Some involve vehicles which makes not being in a vehicle a massive disadvantage to playing. Other games simply are played by running around spraying bullets everywhere until a kill is obtained. Well not Insurgency. In this game there are no vehicles, and running in the open carelessly will get you killed. This game is balanced in that sense, it's as easy to die as it is easy to kill someone. A few shots and you're dead. None of that; "I can take a whole magazine of SMG rounds to my chest and walk it off" nonsense. So overall it's the balancing which attracts me to Insurgecny.
When i first started playing Insurgency i admit i was bad and it was a hard game. But unlike others this didn't throw me off. Any good gamer knows practise makes perfect. The more i played, the better i got. You may also find this game very hard if you're used to Call of Duty or Battlefield. SO take my word when i say don't run around. Take cover, think, know your surroundings, then fight!
So you're probably asking yourself, "Ok, this guy is sorta making sense" or maybe "This game sounds great for me". Well if i haven't convinced you already let me give a summary in a few words.
