You need to make an exception for Insurgency. Some anti-viruses flag steam games as malware, but it's just a false positive.

I take that back because I just went to play a game and it said failed to launch missing exe file.
Norton must not like terrorist killing.

You have to make an exception first, or it will delete the exe. :'(

After you do that, right click Insurgency and navigate to properties > local files > verify integrity of game cache. Then it should work.

Steam games install from the cloud which is falsely identified as a potential threat by many popular anti-malware programs.

Norton must not like THE TASTE OF FREEDOM.

Fixed.

Pretty much this. Uninstall Norton and get a real anti-virus. You'll still get false positives from time to time, but at least you'll have a decent anti-virus program.

dear god... people use norton still?
AncientBert 11 jul. 2014 às 0:40
default microsoft is better than norton these days

I have used microsoft security essentials & windows defender (for windows 8) on multiple computers and never got a virus.

The best part? 100% free.
