give a DLC or Patch please with.....
Ello there.
i dont know if iam the only one thinking on this level thing ingame.
Iam still a noob to this game, but this game did take a big interrest of me right from the start.
Dont get me wrong, its a nice concept, like the gameplay etc..

But... i agree that the command stars in the old was a bit OP for those there have played it a while. But at least there was an idea of keep playing, a goal in some way. also a bit you gain command stars by gaining levels.

Here in Airland Battle, you gain levels for what? Nothing... To show, see how much ive played this game, iam lvl [....] , I dont get it?
I get that you dont want to make some players to OP with the command stars like in the old game, but why not make something out of the levels you gain? Insted of nothing.

i have seen some post with some ideas i like myself.
for examble, have a chance to unlock new weapons you could equip in your units, change weapon types, etc.. etc.. And maybe also unlock new units, but not make them better than the rest you have allready, just different.

I dont hope you think its rubbish iam writing... But as it is now, you gain nothing by playing, its fun to start with, but getting borred keep doing the same, when there isnt anything to get by getting lvls, xp, or anything els...

Regards.

Play ranked if you want a reward for being good. Having command stars for weapons will ruin the game and won't ever happen.

Leave it only personal I hate games that use the progression system

What reward will you get by ranked games?
Then please tell me, why having the level system in game if its for no use really?
And you use the level system for so many games aswell, where you get something to do out of it. Those games are also the games people stay and play longer in the long run.

You increase your rank to show how much better you are than everybody else?

Great benefit ... hmmmm :-P :-P

I agree. There should be some reward at some point, like personalized units with diffrent colors.

Yea we should give the abrams tanks some pink camouflage, and the t90s some bright orange camo. Why do you guys want to bring in the cod progression tree into an already fun game. I hated Escalation because of the command stars. Airland battle at least has everyone at the same level and thats were skill comes into play. Also why do we need to be rewarded for playing a game. I dont understand it. Play the game and enjoy it. If you need rewards other than the satisfaction of increasing you level then i feel sad for you and it goes to show how games that have reward and progression trees have ruined good games by forcing them to adopt these ideas.

Playing ranked gives you a shiny badge next to your name in multi.

People need rewards when playing games so that it feels like they have an actual job.

I never really had a problem with the command star system used in Wargame: European Escalation. I had quite a lot of fun earning stars to develop my decks and did not have too much difficulty competing with players who had unlocked more units than me.

IMO it may be a good idea for players to unlock new camo for their units as they gain experience as a reward...? Well it may not be anything practical, but still you can make a nice battlegroup (visually)

Ironhide, hear yourself. Have you actually read the post completely?
I did say that the old wargame was giving those there did play it alot a OP deck. I understand why we dont want that in airland.
BUT, why the hell give you XP and levels, and you cant use it for anything? Levels and xp does mean in 90% games, that you earning for something. But you only earn it for show? Thats just a laugh.

Like i said, you could make it possible to unlock new weapons etc... for your units. it doesnt have to be OP, just to make the game more advance...
What weapon would be great to have there, etc.. it are like that allready, but to give you more options, that aint that OP, not like it was in the old wargame.
But that was just an idea.
Like camo for some units aswell.
or make your own infantry team setup... i dont know, at least just give us something to go for, and earn by getting xp and levels.

Games like these is fun yes, but it wont keep being fun.
well, at least not for me, and those i know there play this game.
I dont see the fun in playing the same over and over again, without having a goal i could go for.

but thats just me.

xp and level system is a remnant from the beta. There was supposed to be a star system but 2 days before final release they realized it was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to have any sort of unlock system for a game like this and got rid of it.

Shame. I enjoy the command star and leveling system in Escalation (bought after AirLand to fill in for the 20 min time limit in AirLand's SP campaign). Of course it's no good for MP decks but IMHO SP campaign (already limited to pre-made decks) replayability would have benifited and could have been separate

So if the problem is that level and xp dont do anything, lets just get rid off them.
