Freezing on first click

Hello everyone, I recently got Wargame AL yesterday. I was really excited for it, until I actually got into the game. Whenever I click "options" or any button on the menu (even the chat), the game will freeze. I can still hear music and move the mouse, but the game is frozen. Is there any way to fix this? I am on a Windows 7.

First of all, verify the cache to exclude corrupt games file (right-click the game in your Steam library -> properties -> local files -> validate game files)

Then, can you change the options? Switch to OpenGl and windowed mode and see if there's any change. Also, run the game as administrator.

Is validate game files also "Verify integrity of game cache"?

"Delete local game files"

and

"Verify integrity of game cache".

I validated the files, now where would I find the option to run as administrator?

Alright, I tried going back into it again. I clicked on "windowed" and it froze.

I found out my computer is running DirectX11, and I am currently downloading X9.
