What is the best anti-air US units combination?
Hi All,

On your opinion, what is the best anti-air US units combination? Working against Soviet hellicopters and aircrafts. I use one M48A1 CHAPARRAL, one M1097 AVENGER, and two M167 PIVADS . But not sure that is the best combi (.

Do you have any thoughts on subject?

Best regards

Hawks and I-Hawks, and either Chap or Avenger and Stinger. The PIVADS and other Vulcans tend to be horrible at killing things, but are good for helicopter suppression and ground support.

I use the flackpanzers a lot. Their range is unmatched when it comes to helos. Many ties I have been surprised to see my flackpanzers shooting at something I though I would never be able to reach. The bad thing about them is that they are quite inacurate, so if you are trying to shoot down an Akula, then they won't be that affective. Its like trying to shoot down an Apache with a byruisa. (sorry for spelling in the unit names).
Flakpanzers are unfortunately not US AA.
I don't know, I always think of the AA as a ways of forcing my opponent to think twice before attempting an air strike.
Because of that, I don't really trust the Pivads, because it seems like they will generate some discomfort in the enemy's aircrafts, but I feel like if the opposition has a SU-25 or a bomber, he might not shy away from striking.
I tend to read the anti-air vehicle stats and go with the ones that have:

1) Longest firing distance
2) Most ammo. (Regarding this I have 1-2 groups that are missiles, 1-2 groups that are non-missiles).

I tried going lots and cheap, but found that most smart opponents will pick them apart from a distance destroying any savings you might think you have.
