I hope that Red Dragon becomes like the first Wargame.
Is it only me but did the deck build in EE feel refreshing? You fought for points in campaign or in multiplayer that you later on used to unlock new units. And some how that feelt refreshing. I do hope that customization will contain more content. Maybe even make your own general? I do really hope that the Devs manage to get this game right. I didnt really like Airland Battle as EE just because it was so much fun to unlock new good units that were balanced ;_; Pls devs. Dont let the community let down on you. How ever the improvments were great but not as adicting as the first one.

I think most people prefer to have the full game available to them since they are paying money for it. There are enough free2play games out there that force you to 'unlock' extras, let's keep unlocks out of games we pay for.
Maybe have a free (or inexpensive) version of the game for people who prefer to work for their content...and the rest of us will pay for the the entire game at once.
Just my opinion.

Have you ever wondered why bf4 is so refreshing?

I mean, if the devs are trying to focus this game for a larger fanbase they need to make people have to fight for something. Else there is only a campaign and MP ranked games. And why then lvl up?

I hated the deck system in EE. I really loved that during the beta before release of ALB, they permanently removed the command stars. I've made tons of decks, and still make decks. It's great to not have to grind out stars or be forced to play multiplayer just try to get all the units. The way they have it now allows you the freedom to experiment as well as find the types of decks you like/play the best with. All in all, I'm glad they went this route. In my opinion it was a damn good call.

If bf4 is the same bug ridden, lag inducing, can't stay on the servers game I'm thinking of...it's not refreshing. (but I have never played it, so can't say for sure).

Why indeed? In my opinion leveling up belongs in RPG's...where it serves a purpose. Leveling up in a game like this (to unlock cards) starts to seem too much like something that will inevitably (sp?) turn into "you bought the game, you can unlock some cards for free, but for some extra money we have these super cards you can own". Sounds like something a company like EA would do...hopefully this game does not go that route.

All in all, this is simply my opinion...and as always there will be others who agree...and disagree. :-)

I personally don't want to spend my time grinding against the AI to play against new units....It's much better if everyone was on an "even playing field" with their units and the player who has 10 hours has just as a good a chance than the guy who has 100+ hours in terms of statistics (units)

Instead of having a star system like EE maybe units could be unlocked by levels like other MMO's and stuff that way the SP guys can still unlock units without having to play MP if they wanted to and skirmishes make good XP.

But that's if they ever go back to that style of unlocks :/

The star system made it so the game quickly became inaccessible to new players. Joe Sixpack who had unlocked everything would have a big advantage over DoeEyed Newbie who had just started.
IMO fragmenting the player base is not a good idea and Eugen probably learned not to do that after getting input from EE players.
IMO, going back to the unlock system is probably not a good idea.
