But yeah their are some angry people that play though :(
Just mute/block them...
Oh wait..
I've been around the game for 2 years now, and I'm getting tired of the elitist players and spam artists and clown games as well as the usual small cadre of just plain troublemakers.
In fact, 3 of the 10 players had left at that time, one because he was also called a noob by said insulting player.
I can't imagine what it would be like if I actually was a noob and was trying to learn the game and playing my first multiplayer round. What better way than 10v10 multiplayer where anything goes?
I see wargame as something to have fun with, to experiment with decks and try new tactics. And that means losing sometimes of course, but that's a much more fun way to learn and play the game than to win everything. Losing to unexpected tactics, that's fun, getting points because the other person makes a mistake, also fun. Playing every game with the same tried & true decks and strategy, that's just boring.
Please put people who find it absolutely necessary to win each and every match in a different lobby so we can have our fun :-)
Or a block/mute function. I have no idea why people would have to report to them, rather then decide for themselves who i can and cannot be abused or speak to.
I asked on their twitter, post deleted, i asked on their facebook, post deleted, i asked on their forum, thread locked. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insidious, and very european of them. Quick! He's asking something that makes us uncomfortable! Shut it down! Cowards.
Just don't take it, and if they persist, you can always friendly fire... (no, i'm kidding, don't do that unless they REALLY piss you off).
yes trolls are trolling, but its not representing the community at all, they are just a silly minority that make lot of noise (and spam a lot public chat).
However once I get into an actual game everyone I have met seems pretty nice (with the exception of 2 games i've played. One was an argument about plane spamming (both sides were doing it :P ) and another because i went to the wrong sector (even though i flared the one i was going to, and was told by my teammate to go left :P )
When i first started, and was just making incredibly stupid decks, like Air spam decks, recon-only decks, decks with only 5 units, and the hated support deck :P
I went to the chat and asked a question about how good the Bradley IFV's were, I had one player who PM'ed me, brought me into a private game lobby to chat in, and pretty much built me an entire deck by relaying instructions through the chat, about what units to pick, how to use those units in a game, and what they were supposed to be used for. I still have that deck, and it really helped me win my first few games, and build my own decks using that players advice.
