Wargame: AirLand Battle
Poland Under Powered
Since I've been playing Poland on a routine basis, I've noticed it as lacking in fields far more that a worthwhile trade off. Primarily in helicopters. In contrast to East Germany, Czeck or USSR, which all get their strengths in recon, support and prototypes, Poland's benefit of cheap spammable helicopters is lacking due to many of the Mi2 variants being incapable of killing anything. The Sokol is fantastic however, and would be a viable replacement. I would like to see a larger selection of Sokol, with varying roles, including transport alternatives to the Mi8.

Poland is a minor nation so it's supposed to have some crippling weaknesses that make it so it has to be played in a team. On the positve Poland has one of the best air forces in the game and has the best heavy medium (their T72 prototype) in the game.

People who play Poland tend to want to spam non-SEAD planes and support their allies in the skies.

The only two nations in the game that are intended to be "complete" are the USSR and USA.
Poland is my favorite nation. It has my favorite special forces (Komandosi) in cheap helocopters. It has a Beutiful Sukhoi plane with the best napalm in the game. Poland is also the first nation I ever played as so they hold a special spot in my heart.:f117::f117::f117::Uranium::Uranium::Uranium::Uranium::Uranium:
Poland is best.

Poland has 3 types of infantry that are armed with CQC. The komandos are a 15 man special forces unit with a carabine and an 800 meter rpg. The paratroopers are valued at 25 in a normal skot which has a speed of 150 kms on roads. And the marines come again in squads of 15. and did I say they are CQC ? And cheap? And also they have THE ONLY flame thrower infantry at veterancy level ( movement speed 25 kms per hour ) .

If you still don't get the benefit of 6 cards of CQC infantry at the 25 point mark plus 2 cards of special forces I suggest you read more on the difference between a stat MG and CQC one and between a carabine, an assault rifle and a sub machine gun and how they affect the base stats of the weapons in the game. And yes these are not listed on the info card.

My honest opinion is that Poland has an edge on every heavily wooded or urbanized map and I tend to prove that in most of my games.
Also you don't get the idea behind transports. You either get the cheapest fast transport for the speed ( basic skot, basic M8 ) or you get the expensive transport for the transport on an off card( VDV on the most expensive Hinds, motostrelki on BMP3s, riflemen on Bradleys) going in the middle usually means sinking the points for an extra squad into a vehicle that has mediocre strategic value on the field.
In the large maps on conquest, Poland's airmobility is a real benefit. Combine with a 40point deck and it can be quite useful. I've been a real headache to NATO forces on the flanks.
Is it too much to ask for more Sokols instead of Mi2s....
Yes
:)

Use T-55L, Shilka, ROMB, Mig-21Bis, Su-7.
All beat enemy helicopters
Sokol expenisive, low amount.
More sokols..... ok, but fine without
4 sokols ok, 8 sokols poland

I wouldnt even say anti air Sokols, just general Sokols with the Autocannon, its inbetween the Mi8 (6 Strenght) and mi24/35 (10 Strenght) at 8 Strenght. So it has a niche. Basically give Poland a similar collection of Sokols like the British Auto Cannon Lynx.
Spadochroniarze in building? gg, no way to beat em :emofdr:
