Single Player Campaign question
I am currently playing through the scenarios of European Escalation and having fun. I was planning on getting this next once I finish the campaign in the first one but was curious if there was still a timer on the battles. I only play single player campaigns so any time limits are a deal breaker for me. In some of the EE games there are time limit goals where you get like 3 command stars if you win in 30 minutes and I typically do 90+ minutes on those goals so never achieve them. Hence my question on this game.

Oh ya.. what about Red Dragon as well?

I'm afraid it's bad news, there's a time on every battle. In ALB en Red Dragon, all campaign battles are essentialy 20 minute skirmishes against the AI. There's no mission scripting at all, and no stuff like objectives that get you command stars.

Though in Red Dragon there are beginning cutscenes like in EE, and there's some stuff happening on the strategic map, that's about it.

You can watch some let's play videos about the Red Dragon campaigns on youtube if you want to know exactly how it plays.

I think it's a fail too. But lots of people prefer this to single player scenario's.

Anyone know if the trainer works on the Steam version? I was reading that there was one that could just add time to the battles which would be cool.

Yes it's pathetic that the devs go into all the rubbish ballistics, penetration, range, fuel etc and you sit down to play a tactical sim and BOOM! game over... cause you ran out of TIME!!!
Absolute rubbish.
Play Faces of War or Company of Heroes -even Command & Conquer is better. What -honestly- were they thinking when they put a timer into a 'sim' full of realism.

The first one, European Escalation, plays without a timer -well i haven't had one yet?
