how to push past the 1000 mark
Im having trouble with the larger projects, once they need 1250 of something then I fail.
Does anyone have hints on how to do this.
I usually have problems with using the bonuses

Try to unlock the most sources you can through minor achievements, then you can use new symbiosis to allow better resources collection
Also try to increase the ability level of your giants. The more level you have and more aspect you can apply on a source. Also use the fertility to try to obtain some sublimes aspects even if you don't have the level.
You'll probably have to run five or six cities until you start getting at least three to four ambassadors per giant. Try to juggle the ambassadors so that you're creating Superior plants, animals, and minerals, then spam the you-know-what out of them if you have to. If you need to, destroy a neighboring town to give the town in question more room to grow. You'll definitely need to familiarize yourself with specalizations and such to hit that 1250. You can do it, it just takes practice and enough ambassadors. Good luck! :)
I manage to get 4 ambassadors a giant but I didnt have the right combination :(
You can use the calculator made by Derpson ( http://steamcommunity.com/app/222730/discussions/0/846961716430466628/ ) http://reuscalc-reusapp.rhcloud.com/calc/ in order to look what sources you want to play with, what are the most useful "Ambassador Order" to get most sources you can use :)

You have to keep in mind how many Ambassors you can have with each project.

The planet, in normal mode, fits 6 cities. Of course, you can squeeze 7 or more, but in my opinion, 7 is better, otherwise they will lack room for expansion.

If will finish 6 level 1 projects (one per city), you will get 6 ambassadors.

That means 2 Giants with one, 2 Giants with 2. This is important because the Giants with 2 can unlock Potent and Greater Aspects (tier 2 and tier 3), and, more important, get "Great" Resources (animais, plants or minerals).

When you finish 4 Level 2 Projects, similar thing will happen: 2 giants with 2 ambassadors, 2 with 3. More "Greater Aspects" and more "Great Resources".

You will need them to get the Level 3 projects. They are very gettable without Superior Resources or Sublime Aspects!

When you finish 4 level 3 projects, the same old, same old: 2 Giants with 4 (meaning Sublime Aspects and Superior Aniamis), and 2 with 3 Ambassadors.

Those 2 giantes with 4 are critical to get any last tier project (Opera House, Castle, Hospital, Town Canal). They are very hard to get without Sublime Aspects and Superior Resources.

But like i said, you can get to Superior and Sublime with only level 3 projects!

With that in mind, your Focus should be: wich 2 Giants, with 4 ambassadors each, will help me most to get the last tier projects or the hard unlocks I need?

Plan Ahead! Don't complete a project just because it is there. Just complete the ones in cities that will generate useful ambassadors to your game plan.
After a lot of experiments, here is the Ambassadors i like the most. With this combination I got every unlock and achieviement in the game, and also a few that i tried for myself (10.000 Prosperity Total, 6 Level 4 Projects in the same planet, 6 cities with more than 2.000 resources in use, and a few others)

Ocean Giant: S-S-D-S: You can get Superior Animais and Sublime Herd Aspect, including some top end animais like Blue Whale, Panda and Bighorn (Panda is just amazing). The Desert also means you will get Mosson Level 3. The Fertility Boost helps a lot to reach the Sublime Aspects you will need to reach top end resources. You won't have relevant "Growth Aspect", and there are some very good trees that use it, but since you will get Sublime Leaf and Fruit (see below), it is not a problem.

Forest Giant: F-F-S-F: With this combination, you get Fruit Tree Level 3, Fruit Aspect Level 3 and Leaf Aspect Level 3! Just awesome! In Deserts, you get Cardon Cactus. In Forest, you get Orange Tree and Sunflower. In Swamp, White Willow, Papaya and Rubber Tree. Those resources are more than enough to do anything tree related very, very well.

Mountain: D-S-D-D: Both Minerals are Superiors, and Sublime Noble Aspect! You can put 2 Swamp instead, and unlock Sublime Seismic, losing Sublime Noble, but I think Reaction is way better for Tech Minerals, not worth sacrificing Sublime Noble for it . Great Money Maker! Diamond and Ruby are amazing, and if you mix those with Cardon Cactus, I am sure you will see a lot of trouble form greedness.

Swamp: D-D-F-F: With this combination, the Swamp won't get any Superior Resource. But it doesn't matter, he will have two awesome Sublime Aspects! His plants aren't that great (you can get food and tech with the Forest Giant' Fruit Trees without any problem) and there isn't any top tier Exotic Animal that is a game changer, imho. Swamp Giant main purpose in the early/middle game is to keep greed in check with danger (that's why i get 2 Deserts right away, so the predator aspect will be at least "potent"). And after he gets 2 Forest, he is simply a beast. Uranium, Fluroite and Aluminium means that even the 1250 tech needed for the Laboratory is very easy to get!

To clarify for anyone reading this, I'm fairly certain that Daniel Piva listed them in Ocean Giant, Forest, Mountain, Swamp. Swamp is presently listed twice, but the skills on the first "Swamp" relate to the Ocean Giant, so anyone reading his post as a guide, please keep that in mind,
Oh yeah! My mistake! Will rectify it!
I will try that combination
my best advice is using the alt mode features (most notably the one that sets every skill to level 3 once you get 4 ambassadors)
