Thanks JasonMurphy! A lot of us here at Cakewalk are avid Steam users and are super excited about joining this community with our own product.
I just received my 8th year of service badge :)
You'll want to launch Music Creator 6 Touch once while you're online. After that point you can run Steam in 'offline mode' and enjoy MC6T with full functionality.
I might sound silly but is there a demo coming?

I really hope they consider making one as a result of the discussion linked above.
We are definitely listening to the community but can't confirm anything at this time.
We're just barely over 24 hours into this ;)
Just a follow up question (aka incentive for me to purchase),
"What kind of restoration filtering is available in MC6"?
I currently use IZOtope RX (http://www.izotope.com/products/audio/rx/index.asp?hs13) and have found it to be a wonderful workhorse but personally wanted something with this level of filtering within "1 program". There's alot of unnecessary saving and loss of quality (unless I do everything via .wav/FLAC) going in between 2-3 programs.
i was mainly curious (I know VST can be added, I read that) if MC6 will have multiple filters tonal and noise based?
Izotope RX and Music Creator 6 Touch are two different types of applications. Music Creator will allow you to record audio, record and sequence MIDI, and perform basic audio mixing for release. You can make things sound better than how they were originally recorded but you'll need some mixing knowledge.
RX on the other hand is a dedicated audio file restoration tool. I would use this to process recordings separately or if I was trying to remix old recordings before a final Mix. There are actually a lot of users of Cakewalk software who have RX in their bag of tricks.
I went ahead and published a guide for the community here:

Following these steps will add RX to MC6T.
