Info we need with crashes
In any case when you experience a crash we need data about the hardware involved (dxdiag.txt on PC please) and all files from the "My Docs\Unwritten Tales - Critter Chronicles" folder.

Hi, where do we send this information too?

I've paid money for this game and can't even start it without it crashing at start up. I thoroughly enjoyed the first game and have been waiting a long time to play this game.

Yes, lovely post (NordicGames Official) but please tell us where we can post the files you requested of us...... Stop leaving us hanging..

I am not aware where to upload it. Use some one click hoster. I am afraid Steam forum doesnt offer that.

Well why did you start the thread? What was the point? Your original post makes a statement without substance. Steam Forum does offer the ability to insert a link or at least type the link in. Use a one click hoster, to where?
At the moment there are a lot of users trying to play this game with problems being experienced and nada from the company who developed it. Very unsatisfactory.

he means upload the files in file host servises there is many such as 4shared or even your dropbox and share it with them. another point i dont know why there is no response to our feedback around the game maybe the guys really busy

Thanks for the above but I don't understand what you mean. I agree feedback is dreadful although I have just received a response from Steam (which doesn't work). An email contact has been given for Nordic Games : - support@nordicgames.at (for Critter Chronicles). I'm just about to flick off an email to them re issues encountered on Win7 platform.
This has managed to screw up both the original game as well as the new game.

Im running Ubuntu 12.04 not sure where "dxdiag.txt" file find so I just run Steam on terminal and copy output when game crash (it crash on start). I add output on gist: gist.github.com/4364028

Updated:
When I disable Steam Overlay game runs fine (http://www.ehow.com/how_10004514_disable-steam-overlay.html).

Running Fedora 17 (x86_64, 16G RAM, nVidia GT640 2GB, 1TB disk) / KDE
Clicking 'Play' for Unwritten Tales shows the 'Preparing to launch' dialog but then nothing happens.
Tried Find dxdiag.txt in Dolphin, but reports "No items found".
Tried disabling the Steam overlay as per suggestion above but that made no difference.
How do I get this game to run? I paid good money for it after all.

For investigating purpose you could try run steam in terminal with command (quit steam before use command bellow):
steam steam://store
then navigate to Library and run game. It should output some stuff in terminal. If there will be problem related with steam itself (like in my case) you probably see some errors.

I have a nvidia optimus. The game runs only if steam was launched with optirun (bumblebee project). If not it just crashing.

Dear Nordic Games, KingArt Games and The Adventure Company in general,

First of all, as a 36 year-old cyber-adventurer, I thank you so much for still holding on in this world of MMORPGs, Multiplayer frenzies and multi hundred million dollar cost first person shooters. You still can make the people laugh hard with the stories you create.

Therefore I will always look for other Nordic Games and buy them with enthusiasm, whatever problem arises. You're doing a good job and it needs support in this world of games.

Now, I have a detailed crash report but this comment screen only allows 1000 characters, therefore it is impossible for me to submit this here. Kindly give me another destination to send this report to.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: The crash is for Critter Chronicles. The title screens come up, the menu comes up (sometimes only with "Continue Game" written Load Game, Save Game etc. do not appear, especially when running on PC, not Mac) Then I click on Continue Game (I am in Chapter 4) the chapter loads fully and after 100% the game crashes (the PC or Mac does not crash, only the game and I have the below report from my Mac)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION - 2 : This crash started to happen AFTER the last BIG Steam Update. Before that, I observed NO crashes. I have de-installed and re-installed the game both in Mac and PC but the problem is not resolved.

I hope you come up with a solution, as fast as possible.

Kind Regards and Good Luck,

Idris
