Ubuntu 12.04 problems
- On my desktop (Running Ubuntu12.04 64 bit with an Nvidia GPU) I get this segmentation fault in both BOUT and Critter Chronicles.

Loading library ./lib/32/RenderSystem_GL
Installing plugin: GL RenderSystem
OpenGL Rendering Subsystem created.
./boutvc.sh: line 22: 7284 Segmentation fault (core dumped) LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$BASE_LIB_PATH/$BITS/:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH $BASE_BIN_PATH/$BITS/$EXE_NAME

- On my laptop (same OS, intel GPU) BOUT works. Chritter Chronicles has some issues:
- I had to manually place a steam_appid.txt in the game folder.
- If I launch it from steam or from the desktop starter that Steam creates, a black screen pops up and immediately closes again.
- If I start by going into the game folder and running ./bout_vc.sh, it works.

- liblcms2 was missing (as pointed out in another topic). Installing liblcms2-2:i386 fixed that.

Basically Steam also starts the boutvc.sh (There is no bout_vc.sh).
We just pushed an update for the Rendersystem and also an attempt to fix liblcms2 problem you reported. Would be great if you can report back if it works.

- I can now launch critter chronicles demo on my desktop by using boutvc.sh. Attempting to start it from steam still crashes.
- In the critter chronicles demo, when I select Settings from the menu, it crashes:

Texture: icon_items_konfetti.dds: Loading 1 faces(PF_DXT3,256x256x1) with 5 custom mipmaps from Image. Internal format is PF_DXT3,256x256x1.

If I un-check "Enable steam community in-game", I can now launch both games from Steam.

I have the same problem:
/home/greg/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/common/The Critter Chronicles Demo/boutvc.sh : ligne 22 : 24498 Erreur de segmentation (core dumped) LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$BASE_LIB_PATH/$BITS/:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH $BASE_BIN_PATH/$BITS/$EXE_NAME

it happens at the end of the loading screen: "blowing balloons" and 100%

the "in-game" is off, I'm running Ubuntu 12.10 with nvidia gpu

Good news, the overlay crash has been fixed in Steam beta update: http://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/0/846941710613226437/

Still getting a crash when clicking on Settings (no matter if overlay is on or off)

(note I've only played part of the demo)
I am using Ubuntu 12.04 also and I can play the game fine except a couple of issues. I'm not sure if these are steam issues or game-specific issues. When I exit the game, My screen is stuck on a smaller resolution and I have to restart to get out.

I'm also having problems with the overlay thing (shift-tab). The scroll goes blank, or I can't click on anything. To reproduce, open overlay after opening the game. Then maybe click on webbrowser. then exit overlay and things get funky.

The game is great though and I'm interested in it if we can get things cleaned up.

Another problem -- I saved the game, but I cannot load it (load is grayed out). I understand if this is a demo-only thing but this should be stated or save should be disabled; not just load.
