The Book of Unwritten Tales: The Critter Chronicles

Does anybody from Nordic Games read this forum?
Game does not work on Mac, does not work on Linux. People who paid to play are stuck with buckets of rotten bits and nobody from the company even bothers to acknowlege that they've got the reports. Is the company still alive? Does it give a damn about their product?

Apparently not......... Posts about issues with the game on different platforms since Dec 12.... The silence from Nordic is deafening!

Any reply from Nordic yet? The occasional frame rate drop is the disaster.

Nada from Nordic.... however, some good news.. I finally figured how to get this sucker to work in Win 7. My issue is a busted menu interface i.e. no option writing appears on the menu pages. I have found by clicking at various spots in the middle of the (game menu) page I am now able to save/load and exit the game.......... The game itself plays fine with no issues for dialogue options or clicking anywhere in game, just the damn menu pages... Thanks Nordic, I've had this game since December and it's taken all this time for me to figure out a workaround. NB: This also caused the original game to suffer from the same problem (which it never had when it was installed)....... at least I now know how to work around it!

Does Steam take reports on companies ignoring issues reported by paying customers?

Doesn't look like it..... I originally wrote to Steam in Dec, a standard Steam reply came, to do certain things..... that didn't resolve the problem. I've written to Steam again since my new discovery and have received a ticket number but nothing back from them as yet as to my issues and findings.

Thanks for the heads up about the support. I was tempted to buy this game as it looked fun, but I've read a lot of problems about trying to get it started so I'll skip this.

I was looking at getting this for my Linux box but thought I would try the demo first. It doesn't launch so I came to the community site on STeam to see if anyone else has the same problem as me. Running it from the command line I can see it requires gksudo and dpkg and since I am not running a Debian based distro I can see why it doesn't work. Oh well, looks like I am skipping on this game then. Shame, watching the previews it looked like good fun.
