Help! Mouse / Pointer speed

The speed at which my pointer scrolls in game is lower than my regular computer settings. I have to move my mouse from one end of the mousepad to the other, or pick up mouse and move back a bit before continuing. Did not find an in game setting to adjust this. Am I just not seeing the correct setting? If not, please add to game as for a point and click adventure, mouse settings are very important.
