BUG REPORT: Stuck character

Something similar happened to be the book of unwritten tales but as it all took place in the same area it was easy enough to fix. However, in this game I sent Nate to the submarine entrance screen (with the black gaurd) and swithced over to Critter that was presently standing in the professors cave, I moved Critter over to the same screen as thatwhich Nate was standing in but Nate wasn't there. I switched to Nate to find him in the engine room but nothing is interactable so I can't move him through the door, I can only guess that the game doesn't actually recogise him to be in this space.
