This one gets a mixed review from me.
The Cave calls itself a puzzle-platformer, but the puzzles are on the trivial side "Here's a locked door. And look -- there is key. Oh, what should you do?". The platforming is also on the easy side and mainly a way to have something to do while ferrying said key to said door.
The environments are visually interesting. Each character has their own ability, and a unique game section, most of which have some combination of plot/backstory related to that character. That's the highlight of the game; it is fun to see the special areas, and a few of them have genuinely interesting puzzles.
Except there is one extremely annoying aspect: You can take three characters per game. So to experience all seven stories, you will have to play the game three times -- and the common areas aren't interesting enough to make play number three be other than a drag. Oh, and if you avoid spoilers by not reading how to do the achievements until after your play-through, it is quite likely to need a fourth play-through.
So, it is a mixed bag. You will have to decide whether the annoying ones outweigh the potential fun.
