twice tonight the cave mysteriously shuts down and shuts my computer off!!!
I have a very mysterious and perplexing problem here...I haven't gotten very far into the Cave. Using players the time traveller, the twins and the hillbilly, i have just gotten past the hotdog puzzle, and the problems happen. Not only does the game shut off, but my entire computer turns off!!! This is really distressing. I am using an alienware laptop, Windows 7. i have already uninstalled and reinstalled the Cave, after it refused to even boot and would just hang on the start screen. i also used my windows gamepad and after pressing the A button it also quit and shut down! i am enjoying the Cave, but can't play it not knowing if/when it's going to just up and quit on me. Please help, thanks.

Sounds like overheating problems or stability issues with your system.
If other games work, try updating your video card drivers and reduce the graphic settings in the game, especially the AA settings.

Hey, I have the same problem on Fedora 18. When I pass the 1st dragon and there is a scene with a ship on the far the notebook turns off suddenly. I have Radeon HD 6650M with these drivers:
kmod-catalyst-3.8.1-201.fc18.x86_64-13.1-2.fc18.x86_64
xorg-x11-drv-catalyst-13.1-1.fc18.x86_64

I'll check the overheating.
Except for this issue, this game is cool :)

As I see in my case the crash was really caused by overheating. With lower visual settings it didn't happen.
