I am still waiting to play the game with normal pc frame rates. The game is not enjoyable at 30fps. Devs promised a fix... and nothing happens.

Devs promised nothing, IIRC they said they'd fix Brütal Legend (which they did) then look into older games and patch them if at all possible. The Cave is published by Sega which may or may not make matters worse. And now that GFWL is on the way out, DF also has to remove it from Iron Brigade somehow, which is objectively a more pressing issue...

So personnally I've lost all faith that they'll actually do a damn thing about the fps cap in The Cave or any other game. Yet here I am, browsing the forum for no ther reason than to look for news on that front...

I only just started playing this today but the 30fps cap is so bad to look at :/

Turn off the AA and it works fine. Just not as pretty. I'm only using an A10 AMD laptop and it's really nice. With AA on it has a subtle jarring when moving. I leave SSAO & all the rest on.

It's not a perfomance issue johnar, it's an engine limitation. Sometimes during play Fraps has a hiccup and suddenly says I have 60 fps, but nothing has changed: movements are choppy, gameplay is laggy, watching the scenery makes my eyes water. You can turn off all Visuals if you wish, it won't improve that "30 fps feel" a bit.
