Performance problems!
The installation of Rocksmith 2014 went just fine, but when I plugged in my cable and started playing on my electric guitar, I've noticed a couple of problems.

First of all, my guitar signal distorts, mostly when playing chords. There's a short 'crackle' that is very noticeable. This doesn't happen regularly, but every now and then. I was wondering if some of you share this problem, or if my cable might be faulty!

Also, I can't use the Rocksmith 2014 tuner at all at this stage. The tuner doesn't seem to register the note properly, because the readings are all over the place. The tuner in Rocksmith 1 worked just fine, but this one is hopeless. Any fixes?

Apart from this, it seems to be picking up my guitar just fine. I hope it's not my cable, because I do have to unplug my cable every now and then in Rocksmith 1 as well because my notes just aren't registering any more. After plugging the cable in again, everything's fine.

I hope you guys can help me out with this!

Cheers,
Marten

It's most likely the cable. And it's the same for me, I have to replug the cable into my guitar for it to sound normal.

goto sounds in control panel and turn up the volume on the Mic/RS cable. RS1 didnt like high volume but RS2 has to have it. i have mine set at 75 and at 7 on the guitar and it seems to be a happy medium. hope its that and not the cable.

Try increasing the audio engine option in the game, see what that does for you. The crackle is when your computer doesn't keep up with constantly taking care of the sound. Also increase the volume of the cable in the control panel.

Yep, most of the time this fixes the sound problems.

All problems were solved by increasing my Rocksmith USB Cable volume and changing one of the perimeters in the Rocksmith.ini file! That makes me hopeful that a future update will solve these issues for good!
