Reverse string order?

Is there a way to reverse the display of the string order to match what you'd expect to see in tablature? I feel like it's going to be a real mind f*** trying to remember that the low E string is displayed on the top. I mean it makes sense to a new person I'm sure. But if you've been looking at tab, chord charts, scale charts, etc... for any amount of time, it's going to be a bit odd switching to this style.

There is such a setting in the original Rocksmith, and I recall seeing both types of tablatures in the trailers. So I bet they wouldn't remove such a thing from 2014.

actually you can set the strings to be shown from "e" on the top and "E" in the bottom, but I haven't seen a way for lefty.

I've watched it long time ago, and I was convinced not support for lefty, but that was only about the bundle with the guitar (this question is around 3:30).

Good for you, by the way I'm left handed, but I play a right handed guitar, life is weird :)

Why is tab that way? If you look at a guitar the fat string is on the left. Just curious.

I guess if you place the guitar on your lap, and look down, it makes sense. Got it.

yeah, and tab is probably like that because it closer resembles music notation with higher notes on the top. I don't fault Rockband for displaying it the way it is. It probably makes more sense to beginners and as a game mechanic. But when people move from Rockband and into tablature they'll have to make an adjustment.

I went ahead and bought Rocksmith 2011 for the songs and to check it out. Cool game. I'm looking forward to 2014 releasing. This is a great tool for someone who has played the guitar for quite some time but never took it serious (like myself). Sometimes just learning a song you never considered learning can motivate you to play more often.

I think the Rocksmith default is that way because you are using x-ray vision to look through the neck of the guitar. So get used to being a Rockstar and a Superhero.

Like many others, being used to tabs, the first thing I did is changed the layout to tab-like, with the fat E on the bottom. After couple of days though I realized that the "X-Ray Vision" is much more convenient for me - the brain has to work a lot less to understand what's going on (especially when chord shapes fly at you) - so I reverted back to default and pretty happy with that.

Yes, you can. In the original Rocksmith you can change it in the Options, and I've seen Rocksmith 2014 gameplay with the strings reversed/mirrored and the original tablature most are used to.

well i'm just glad there was an option for it. i don't know of any guitarist who looks at the BACK of the neck when they're playing, which is what the default layout is suited for
