Save File Got Wiped (Any Ideas for Possible Location)
Ok, so Steam cloud messed up and all my scores are back to 00:00, and the latter 3 levels are locked. Shame really, seeing as I'd got to 46 secs on the last level. Anyway, the high score tables still show my lost scores weirdly.

Does anyone know where the save files are kept so that I might see if I can revert them to a previous version?

Hi, I got the same problem too. However, the save file location is where steam cloud syncs the save file. So if your save file got wiped, like mine, most likely there isn't a copy of it anywhere. I am also very upset that my progress has been wiped.

To prevent this from happening in the future, I suggest that you close the game, and wait for a few seconds for steam cloud to complete, before opening. Also, if u accidentally opened it too quick, it will tell you that Steam Cloud could not sync. Do not press Start Game, instead select cancel and Steam Cloud will retry syncing again.

Same here, but I disabled steam cloud months ago because it creates more problems than it ever solves.

Same thing happened to me, it's happened twice now and getting to be kind of a pain in the butt.

Ok, I did it. I got my high scores back from the ether.
I found the suphex.dat file somewhere in my steam folder, I just used windows search to find it.
I opened it up in notepad and wrote down the high scores I found from the leaderboards in a seperate text document.
I then used MATH to find the integer value of my scores.
(Take the numbers on the right side of the ":", divide them by 60. add that to the numbers on the left side, and multiply that by 60.) and then I put them in the right spots.

Example file before:

<VARIABLES> <besttime0>0</besttime0> <besttime1>0</besttime1> <besttime2>0</besttime2> <besttime3>0</besttime3> <besttime4>0</besttime4> <besttime5>0</besttime5> <unlockedhyper0>0</unlockedhyper0> <unlockedhyper1>0</unlockedhyper1> <unlockedhyper2>0</unlockedhyper2> <finishedhyper0>0</finishedhyper0> <finishedhyper1>0</finishedhyper1> <finishedhyper2>0</finishedhyper2> <tutorialflag>0</tutorialflag> </VARIABLES>

Example file after:

<VARIABLES> <besttime0>6461</besttime0> (Time was 107:41) <besttime1>3656</besttime1> (60:56) <besttime2>3650</besttime2> (60:50) <besttime3>3627</besttime3> <besttime4>4295</besttime4> <besttime5>1263</besttime5> <unlockedhyper0>1</unlockedhyper0> <unlockedhyper1>1</unlockedhyper1> <unlockedhyper2>1</unlockedhyper2> <finishedhyper0>1</finishedhyper0> <finishedhyper1>1</finishedhyper1> <finishedhyper2>0</finishedhyper2> <tutorialflag>1</tutorialflag> </VARIABLES>

I hope this works for all of you who lost their scores!

My "point" archievement got ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and didn't unlocked. I wasn't able to get it again by beating the Hexagon level, so I turned the "besttime0" and the "unlockedhyper0" to 0,retried, and It worked. So, this also helps to make the archievements available again.

I know this thread is, like, 3 years old, and dead by now, but this is really useful. Thank you.
