AMD APU on Ubuntu?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had successfully gotten an AMD APU to work in Ubuntu? I've tried the default drivers, the FGLRX drivers, the driver straight from AMD's site (which might be the same
all accelerated rendering is nonfunctional.

Has anyone gotten an AMD APU to work on Linux?...

Did anyone notice on the AMD APU you cant switch TTY sessions ?...

Depending on the year/model of the APU, you might have more success with a newer Ubuntu.

Catalyst 12.10-11 driver issue

I'm on the 12.11 beta driver with a 7660D (A10 APU) and performance is aweful....

Performance Worsening?

processor
GPU: Radeon HD 7560d (part of the apu) and 6400m, with driver 3.12.
Memory: 12gb...

it will be Fahrenheit. @ 100°C the APU stop.
you can habe 2 problems.
1. your have RAM on conflict. how you get 12GB? a good system used 4, 8, 16 GB
2. the second grafik. 6400m??? a notebook
hardware??? and the driver 3.12? do you mean 13.12???
for the apu ich would used ubuntu 13.10.
is your APU the AMD A8-5600K?...

Steam on Cinnamon

Same problem.

I have two graphics cards in my laptop - APU and GPU.
If I start full screen game on APU (AMD 6520G) on Cinnamon, I have blackscreen. Only on Cinnamon. No matter...

Games seem to work fine in "Unity" and "Ubuntu Classic" modes too. (A6 APU w/13.1 Drivers)
Starting windowed in Cinnamon works fine, still haven't been able to find what's causing full screen to bug...

It is a pc and if custom Ryzen+Vega (not confirmed) apu is on par with current consoles then it is worth a prize tag....

Keep getting this error: OpenGL GLX extension not supported by display

Kernel versión? Mesa version? Do you have integrated gpu (i.e. an apu)?...
