EDIT: Sorry, it's 2040. Valve doesn't know the number 3...
Once you do setup your categories, it will be easier to add games to it thereafter. I did it with all my games, and I think the results have been promising. It would be nice if Valve introduced a similar feature, but the problem is that certain games belong in more than one category: where should the system sort the games then? I say a vast majority of games are now marketed under different genres, so categorising them is difficult.
You make it sound more complicated than it really is! :D
He has just got some other/more ideas for categorizing or sorting than you do, it seems.
There are lots of imaginable categorizing methods you just cannot do with what Steam offers.
And AFAIK, sorting cannot be done at all.
If you're content with what Steam offer, fine, but much more would be possible.
I'm happy with the category system at the moment, but options would be nice.
What I would really really like to see, is for Steam to not pause downloads when playing a single-player only game. I can understand if I want to play TF2, you may not want to be downloading an update while playing online... but if I'm playing, for example, Fez I really don't care so much if I'm downloading in the background.
