The current system does not allow me to, for instance, enter such a input for portal 1.
Read carefully again. It's an idea, it's not implemented. It just would be nice if there was such option :)
The natural way is by the community shouting at the devs "WE WANT A LINUX PORT OF YOUR GAME." This is just a nicer, more efficient way to shout that.
I can't find such utility in greenlit.
I want back ports. It is the only way to get some games.
