Feature Request: user voting system to suggest games to port

I am not seeing a way to give input to which games I would love to see ported in any way other than spamming the forums. It would be nice if either when a user goes to buy a game and it is incompatable for their platform, their account is added to a log of accounts wanting the game for platform 'X', or for each game a user adds to their wish list if it is not compatable with their current platform the user is notified and their account added to a log of users who want the game to be ported to platform 'X'.

Sound reasonable?

i think the best way is spamming the email accounts of the game makers or their forums

There is Greenlit feature, just give devs option to Greenlit not only whole games, but platform ports aswell. Problem fixed.

Read carefully again. It's an idea, it's not implemented. It just would be nice if there was such option :)

i dont wanna vote for games to be ported. i want it to be quite natural that upcoming games provide a native linux client :P

The natural way is by the community shouting at the devs "WE WANT A LINUX PORT OF YOUR GAME." This is just a nicer, more efficient way to shout that.

Alternatively this could be integrated with steam's wishlist feature, so that I can express that I I'd want/buy this game, but only if it's made available for e.g. OSX or Linux.
