Feature Request: Installing games on another drive.
I'm always have not enough space on my hard drive with linux partition to install the game. But I have an NTFS-partition, which can not be used to play the games, because linux binaries works only on linux partitions.
I suggest this feature: install binaries where steam is locating, and cache files on another partition.
P.S. Sorry for my bad English :)

Cache files are no longer used. There are still a few exceptions but not on the linux platform as far as I know. You can resize that ntfs partition to make room for an ext one.

I have got all my Linux games stored onto NTFS. As the default is +x they work. I just symlinked ~/.local/share/Steam to a dir on my other partition.

What Kano said. Symlink ftw.
