Unable to launch TF2 (Optimus)
Hi all,

I am trying to get TF2 to run on my Ubuntu 12.04 laptop. I have Steam installed and have run other games just fine like World of Goo, but I've been unable to launch TF2. I am using an MSI x460dx, which uses Optimus and is running a gt540m. I went ahead and installed both Bumblebee and Primus according to this guide: http://steamcommunity.com/app/221410/discussions/6/846939854395110175/ and I get glxspheres to run just fine. However, when launching Primus on Steam or TF2 through the launcher options nothing happens. The TF2 tag in my library seems to 'sync' momentarily and that's it. No errors, no crashing, just nothing. I tried to duplicate the steps here for TF2 http://steamcommunity.com/app/35720/discussions/0/846945579832011291/#c846945579833633344 but that failed as well. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for any assistance.

not only on primus or optirun, TF2 seems to crash on any nvidia after the last 800Migs update, hope they fix it :(

This is a known issue. I have to run TF2 by running Steam through primus:
primusrun steam

I'm afraid there's nothing more I can do here. However, I noticed that sometimes if you disable steam community in-game, the game seems to run.
