How to use AMD Open Source Driver with Steam?
My Laptop has Intel HD 3000 and AMD HD 7430M. When I use Catalyst, I have option to switch VGA but not with Radeon open source driver. How can I get Steam to use AMD GPU?
Thank in advance.

To start using the open source driver, just uninstall Catalyst. However, I don't think that answers your intended question.

What do you mean by "Switch VGA"? Do you mean change which display port is being used?

try looking for a switch in your bios to force the computer to use the amd card... ie turn off switchable graphics in the bios.

it does depend on the machine's bios as to whether this option exists but it works for me (and others i have suggested it to in the past).... all being well you have the option ;)

Google for switcheroo, if you want to drive the whole desktop with the dedicated GPU. If you're fine with something like bumblebee, search for Prime, it involves just setting a single environment variable.
