I cannot run Penumbra: Requiem despite other Penumbras are working.

The only supported Penumbra games at the moment are Black Plague and Overture.

I'm sorry, but look at that list again. There is written:
Penumbra Black Plague Gold Edition
and Gold Edition also contains Requiem.

I experience the same problem.

Penumbra Requiem uses Black Plague as the Installation directory and will download the entire Penumbra: Black Plague game if you have chosen not to install Penumbra: Black Plague through Steam.

What I think is supposed to happen is that it comes with a binary that starts the game, but this does not happen. Instead only two binaries are made (lackplague and blackplage.bin), both start up Penumbra: Black Plague. There is no trace from a Penumbra: Requiem binary in Steam/SteamApps/common/Penumbra Black Plague.

Thanks for cross-referencing and keeping this thread updated, Dr0zD[SVK]. It is good to see the packager of Black Plague Gold Edition (Black Plague + Requiem) has picked up on the problems people are having with installing Black Plague and the "missing executable" issue for Requiem.

I've been able to successfully play through Black Plague's Steam version, but Requiem never worked for me. It just seemed to install Black Plague, but did not give me a launcher from Requiem, hence the "missing executable" trying to launch it.

Just finished Black Plague. Hoping Requiem gets fixed soon... seems like it should have a simple fix since it's working right for the developers.

Update - 20130108 update fixed Penumbra: Requiem and it is now installable and playable Thanks for fix.

downloaded package Black Plague/Overture and Requim ,, and Requim is not starting up also not after verify game. not sure if this bug talked about is realy fixed?

can you be more specific and provide more information? is something downloaded during process?
