I'm going to go back to playing windowed mode and see if it happens again. If not, at least we've narrowed down the fault.
The game crashes randomly when a door is opened. It doesn't seem to occur until you reach level 4 of the dungeon, but then I get crashes on about one door in ten. This has happened over several different games.
In case it has something to do with specific skills, I have swordplay 6, dual-wielding 5, artful dodging 1, master at arms 1, mathematic 1, perception 1, assassination 3. I think the last skill I upgraded to before the crashes started was dual-wielding 6.
It only seems to occur when opening a door into an unknown area. Opening and closing the same set of doors repeatedly doesn't trigger the crash.
Starting steam from the terminal results in the following output on a crash:
I'm running 64-bit Ubuntu 12.10 with the latest Catalyst beta drivers, using the Unity desktop. System specs as follows:
If there's anything else I can do in terms of logs or providing crash dumps, let me know what's required and how to get it.
First, it happens with both locked and unlocked doors.
Second, the bug is not repeatable. That is, I saved a game immediately outside a door that then triggered the crash when I then tried to open it. On reloading, the game didn't crash when I opened the door. I mention this because on the Gaslamp forums I see people are discussing a very similar bug, which apparently is reproducible, in that a specific door will always trigger a crash.

It then stops at the "loading squa" and doesn't add anything until I click the door then I get:
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

It looks like it doesn't finish loading all of the parts of square 99.
If anyone has any suggestions or things they want me to try or to capture let me know and I will do it. I really don't want to have to start my game all over again.
