GitHub: World Of Goo Demo: Game isn't Twinview (xinerama) aware.
The demo spreads itself across both monitors which would be the expected behaviour if the application doesn't know about xinerama or possibly I need another meta mode if the game runs at an odd resolution.

Nvidia: 310.19

Meta modes I have set up:

Option "metamodes" "DFP-0: nvidia-auto-select +0+0, DFP-2: nvidia-auto-select +1600+0; DFP-0: nvidia-auto-select +0+0, NULL; 640x480,NULL; 800x600,NULL; 1024x768,NULL; 1280x1024,NULL;"

I've got the same problem, and the same setup.

u can tweak the settings from
~/Steam/SteamApps/common/World of Goo/properties/config.txt

but yeah it should be implemented by default.

Thanks xpander. Worked like a charm. BTW, that properties/config.txt indicates it really should be copied to $HOME/.worldofgoo/config.txt for a per-user edit.

I thought that twinview and xinerama are both deprecated in favor of xrandr. I don't know if the xorg.conf syntax changed.

I have the same problem.

what did you change to get it to work?
also, the actual path for the file is $HOME/.WorldOfGoo/config.txt (different case in the game name)

In my case I just set:

<!-- Graphics display --> <param name="screen_width" value="1280" /> <param name="screen_height" value="1024" /> <param name="color_depth" value="0" /> <param name="fullscreen" value="false" />

Setting fullscreen to false and setting a size made it run in a window which seems to work fine.

I fiddled with the XRANDR setting but it didn't seem to have any effect for me. I'm not particularly familiar with xrandr so it may just require fiddling with some of its million command line options.

cool thanks. tried xrandr and fullscreen as well.
