TF2 boxes/menus not displaying properly
So today was the first day I've been able to play TF2 (and I've been using Steam for Linux since closed beta) since I finally ditched fglrx legacy and went to open source radeon drivers.

Anyway, when I start the game, the boxes/menus only show the name of the boxes/menus. For instance, when I go into the tutorial, the little text box that pops up to tell you where to go or what to do, just says "#MENUHINT" or something along those lines. In the main menu, all of the boxes say things like "#UIMENUsomethignsomethingsomething." I can only guess what I'm clicking on because I never receive any real information. Am I missing a library? I've got ia32-libs installed (duh).

Running Ubuntu 12.04.2 64-bit, AMD Mobility Radeon HD 4200 using open-source driver.

This is the visual I get from mine :

On arch-linux. I have checked the integrity of game cache, and it says I'm complete.

This is the log of what happens after I click "play" :
