Fonts in Steam Client
Probably already reported but tryed to search and saw some other issues about fonts. so i report that just to make sure that the team is aware of that:

as u can see the fonts on native client look blurry (without sibpixel AA?)

im using MATE desktop with mint 14.
all my system fonts are sharp, but steam doesnt seem to take the general system font settings.

system font settings:

EDIT: i wonder from where does steam pull the settings?. it seems running through wine pulls the font conf settings directly from system, but not the case with native

EDIT2: odd thing. running steam with -dev command seems to have font smoothing.

I see the same issue, but I only have ugly fonts for the updating client screen. which I would add a screenshot of, but for some reason, there are transparency issues.
ah what the hell. here is the link:

it seems to be fixed now. font looks good and subpixel AA applies.
i guess it was the last update.

@yarbelk, ur issue seems to be the graphics driver or some compiz setting
