Can't initial config network settings on Ubuntu

I'm trying to set up Steam on a little Ubuntu box in my living room so I can stream from my personal gaming computer. I set up the program to launch in Big Picture.

Every time I get into setup, I get as far as network config, the wired connection (which the machine is already active on, other services are live) shows up in the list, I select it and the Connect button appears. This button is dead. I can't navigate to it with my controller or keyboard. If I try to plug in a mouse and click on it (or use the controller to point), it doesn't do anything. I'm just stuck on the "wired connection" list item. Why can't I get past this screen? Is this a bug?

Probably a bug. If you're using the standard client, try the beta. If you're using the beta, try the stable one.
