Issue Report: multi-monitor configuration - account login window not centered
When starting Steam/Linux on KDE 4.9.2 and two monitors connected - small login window appears at center of virtual screen - between two monitors. Possibly because two monitors - one big virtual screen (actually it is).

After login - Steam's window centered correctly. So, minor bug.

P.S.
Main window of Steam finally maximizing properly. But popups menu still hiding and not usable.

Do you mean it just takes the center as an orientation point or are you saying it is displayed right between 2 monitors? The latter never happened to me, using a proper RandR configuration, but maybe it's just the window manager.

In case you're still using an old Nvidia driver: TwinView is deprecated and has been replaced with proper RandR support as of version 304, upgrading the driver is highly recommended.

I'm using latest 310.14 drivers with GTX465 card.

Displayed between two monitors - login window, also when you start the game "preparing to launch..." - between monitors.

AMD Radeon 6850 (v12.08 drivers) with 2 side-by-side monitors on GNOME Shell/Ubuntu 12.10 does the same thing and it's pretty annoying

Hi,

is there a workaround! I got the same issue... And i'm not able to play TF2 bêta because the game launches on second screen but the game doesn't let me choose any option to tune it!

Anyone tries the 310.19 nvidia drivers?

Thanks a lot!

I have the same with a GTX680 & 2 screens, it appears in the center, partly splittted.

At the moment I'm also running the latest drivers.

┌─ ‖ihre‖1337-ARCH‖ [~]
└──── pacman -Q | grep nvidia
lib32-nvidia-utils 310.19-1
nvidia 310.19-2
nvidia-utils 310.19-1
opencl-nvidia 310.19-1

By the way, I use SLiM with i3-WM.

/edit

It seems newer drivers have been released today, http://steamcommunity.com/app/221410/discussions/5/846939614986016367/

I haven't had this happen to me. When steam loads it puts the right edge of the login/loading window at the center of me screen. Then it opens up to the position I had it in when I last closed it. I'm using nVidia's 304 driver, and MATE for my desktop.

Edit: Thought I should note I'm running 2x22" monitors.
