Feature Request: Use Big Picture mode’s webm videos for in‐client video
Noticed while I was testing it that the intro was webm, and then through wireshark that the trailers are also encoded in webm… which means you can easily display them in the steam client, and in chrome/opera/firefox.

For example, hitman http://media.steampowered.com/steam/apps/2028134/movie_max.webm (please note the video normally has an age-gate, rated NSFW)

+1, Flash is on it's way out, might as well migrate early.

This is a fairly major problem for Linux users as Adobe has dropped all future flash support for Linux. From here on, it will only be on Linux through Google's own plugin embed in Chrome. This can be used by other chromium-based browsers, but I'm not sure how legal that would be to distribute without requiring a Chrome install with every Steam one.

I too, agree. You shouldn't rely on flash for stuff like this. It has never been correctly supported on linux, and it seems it will never will.
