It's not the best experience right now where you can install a game, but might not be able to play it and get no feedback as to why without doing some console jockeying.
That said, you fixed my issue -- thanks!
here is the output to the terminal:
../lib/AndYetItMoves: error while loading shared libraries: libtiff.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I am on a 64bit install, and have all the libtiff packages installed for both 32 and 64 bit arches.
I have libglu installed, and the library is at /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libGLU.so.1.
Turns out the game wants 32-bit libraries. Installing ia32-libs package solves the issue.
