Issue Report: SB S&S EP won't load
Hey everyone,

I downloaded and installed Super Brothers Sword and Sworcery EP, it installed just fine, etc. However, when I go to launch it, nothing happens. Sometimes my status will show as "in game" for a split second. It says it was last played today, however, it closes out before anything comes up.

Ideas?

I had the same problem, but it turned out to be a dependency issue with curl.

At first I tried running the run.sh directly in the buried directory for the game and got a very telling error:

Since I'm also running 64-BIT Ubuntu 12.10, I installed the i386 version of curl:

I then tried running the run.sh again and got a very different [better] error message:

I then was able to launch the game from the Steam interface.

I just got into the beta and had also installed Serious Sam 3, but ran into the issue of mesa 32-BIT not being installed. From a post here, I did sudo apt-get install libglu1:i386 and then I was able to get that going. I did do this before I attempted to launch this game, so this might have also been a pre-requisite that I fixed without knowing it.

Hopefully there will be better logic introduced for these games to better check their dependencies and getting those dependencies installed before being launched?
