Are replays still broken for you? I’ve been able to capture (f6 or whatever) and playback a replay of a game.
Hadn’t seen you also had a quicktime bug attached to this, as i’d made http://steamcommunity.com/app/221410/discussions/1/882966056581228219/ yesterday

Yes, they still are broken. Maybe it needs some extra packages? What packages for extracting stuff you have? I have tar, bzip2, p7zip-full, unrar.
Or maybe it is codecs that matter? But as I know, before rendring replays are just a bunch of game specific files, not a video.
Just the standard libs for compression, maybe tf2 didn’t record the file correctly, tried capturing new replays recently?

Whell, I just tried it. New replays seem to be ok

We've got a bug entered about this. Thanks much for reporting it.

There is Package file for Linux for reading and writing Quicktime files. It's called quicktime-utils, should probably try installing that package and see if it works.
