Issue Report: After purchasing a non-linux game in the client, the "Install Games" lets you try and install games for Windows
After buying a game in the Steam store, you are presented with a "Install Games" button. Pressing this button reserves the disk space for the game, tells you how much space it uses, then starts to install. This happens for games that are not available on the Linux platform. The game shows up in the games list (if you list All games) and fully downloads, double clicking on the game gives the "Game is not supported on this platform" error.

Freyja, The Witch... 9. nov 2012 kl. 10:53am
I just bought the last Humble Bundle (for Android 4) and activate theses games on Steam:
-Sword & Sorcery EP…
-Crayon Physic Deluxe…

SSEP is the only game actually available on steam-Linux (the others are coming too…?) and each game proposes an installation…
Machinarium downloaded nothing but Eufloria have entirely downloaded the Windows version…
I don't try for Splice and Crayon…

This is an issue with the configuration and we are currently working with Steam Tech on this.

Almost the same here with steam client from Nov 20 2012 15:32:05 in french, however :
When I click the "Install the games" button then click "Next" two times, it says that an error occurred when installing the game. Game is not downloaded and is not in the library.

It's like the Grand Theft Auto 3, Vice City, and San Andreas shows up for the Mac too, on the Windows Steam client.

On Linux, this could be combined with WINE somehow. :3
