Game starts, can play offline -- no server to play multiplayer? (Italy)
I installed Steam for Linux on my Gentoo box.

It starts, works.
I can play tutorial or offline.

But when I try to play multiplayer it keep searching showing me 23 worldwide server and none nearby...

I can't play online :(

Is this expected?

I'm in Italy.

(Also, I was in the private beta but didn't had the time to enter it until today, is the mailing list gone?)

Yes Team Fortress 2.

(How can I try other games on Linux?)

I was doing:
1. Play Multiplayer
2. Try Party
3. Search ... and apparently there was no way to play.

Now saying no to "Party" I can enter games, even if they aren't very much. (I use random so that it choose automatically almost always).

I hoped I could play with my friend on windows but as I found out Linux TF2 servers are different from the Windows TF2 servers, am I wrong?

The game also play very slow on my laptop (a bit aged) -- I can't change the resolution: the game ignore my choice. -- but that's another topic.
