L4D2??
Just wondering why L4D2 isn't available since it was one of the first to be ported.

I guess they are still in the state of porting / it's not productive ready atm.

Valve didn't released it for Linux yet. I don't know why.
I think they want to give us fully working port when it will be ready.

From all the publicity however, I was under the impression that the port was complete.

There are about 400 threads just on this topic. Next time just do a search and post on one of those instead of making a new one.

I see at least 2 of these threads every day. I'm under the impression they're waiting for the full release of Steam Linux to release this game.

Makes more business sense to release their big titles as part of the official Linux client roll out. That way they can build up a proper hype and drum up more impressive sales figures while being sure to limit the possibility of negative reviews due to bugs or performance issues that are still being ironed out in the beta. At least that is my take on it for what it's worth.

I think we need a new forum which is just "When will L4D2 be released?" as well as "Where is my tray icon?"

I bought L4D2 when it was in discount only because it was coming out on Linux already, I'm sure I'm not the only one who figured it was a good idea, it was Halloween sale so I think it was 75% off now it's just 50.

L4D2 and TF2 hyas same Sourece version (Source Engine 2009). But TF2 is available from 1st day. What happens with L4D2?

1. I love the exaggeration
2. The question was never really answered

I was under the impression that they released TF2 for Linux beta testing rather than L4D2.

a. I don't know why you would love exaggeration. Kinda dumb. Anyway, I did a search and there are actually 40 threads, not 400, so yeah, I guess you were right to make ANOTHER thread because 39 wasn't enough.
b. Other people answered the question in this thread before I made my post and in the other threads. If you had taken the point of my post you would have searched those others and found your answer.

It makes more sense for valve to release, team fortress 2 first, since it's a free title and every one can enjoy/test the game without actually having to buy the game.
Ither way it probably wont be long before they release L4D2 anyway, so far id say it's been a great beta experience!

I guess the "not picking up on sarcasm" award should really go to you in this situation, then.
