Issue report: Segfault after Steam_Guard authentication
I tried to do a clean install after having issues with the first one.

After running bootstrap, unpacking the extra packages, I was asked for my account and password, then Steam Guard window appears and ask for the code. A moment after I enter the code (from the email) I get segmentation fault on the console:
Generating new string page texture 24: 128x256, total string texture memory is 1,37 MB
Uploading dump (in-process) [proxy '']
success = yes
response: CrashID=bp-36f8b086-26ab-43f0-a1f1-96a592121217
./ line 287: 23146 Segmentation Fault (segfault) $DEBUGGER "$STEAMROOT/$PLATFORM/$STEAMEXE" "$@"

I did DEBUGGER=gdb and got backtrace that looks something like:
Generating new string page texture 23: 256x256, total string texture memory is 1,24 MB

To me it looks like the code that uploads crash dumps have crashed :O
I hope the many auth attempts doesn't panic somebody in the support.

I'm running Slackware 14.0 32bit.
4GB Ram, Intel i3 2.93GHz.
65GB free space on the partition with Steam.
Sorry, atm can't post more detail.

OK, the issue turned out to be rather silly.

It turns out the problem is related to the way /dev/shm is used. There were left overs from steam installation by another user that conflicted with this user.
