Quick and Dirty - From Ubuntu 12.04 Minimal Install - To Optimus (BumbleBee), Nvidia Exp. 310, running Steam Client
I posted to my blog today all the steps I took to get a Minimal Ubuntu 12.04 system running Steam on an Optimus System. This blog post has not been edited so beware of spelling. It's not a standard install, it's base install from the netboot installer. I don't go into fine nor granular details (it's not for the faint of heart). Test system: Alienware M11xR2

Issues I have seen so far:
- Big Picture - Won't run. X Error - Unsupported Private Request.
- Rarely on update or cloud sync (I think) you get a reader error, too much data.
- Intel graphics throws and error when trying to run steam outside of optirun (BumbleBee). Have not really taken any time to look into it.

Point was to build a Minimal Ubuntu System to support the bare Minimum BumbleBee, Nvidia Experimental 310, and Steam Client. Downloading TF2 now to test out gaming side.
