Issue Report: TF2 Missing Letters & Other Bug
Linux Mint 14.1 Nadia
Fresh Install, updated & upgraded.
Running Nvidia Proprietary and Tested drivers (Binary Xorg driver, kernel module, VDPAU library from nvidia-current) Sync to Vblank is off in an attempt to fix the issue.
Installed TF2, booted up fine, runs fine although the FPS is actually lower than on my windows installation.
The real issue is random letters are missing out of words and names in the HUD. The count down timer will randomly be missing letters, targets will have letters missing from names, kill feed shows missing letters, even in the console letters will be missing when typed and for the pop up commands.

The other issue is the %killername% and %NEMESISNAME% bug during the death screen.

I suspect this is partially a nVidia regresssion since at least 295.x, I have seen this in the windows client on wine on an nVidia system as well.
