Issue Report: Store copy of TF2 different from Beta found in Library + freeze
Instead of installing TF2 Beta from the Library, I navigated to the store (browsing other games I might want to purchase and download), and chose to install TF2 from the store. Apparently, it tried to install a different copy of TF2 which was not labeled Beta. This also caused Steam to freeze (but not the rest of my computer). Removing this version solved my problem, and I am now d/ling the beta version that showed up in my Library. I am running Ubuntu 12.10 with NVidia GeFOrce 9000 series graphics card with the latest 310 drivers.

TF2 and TF2 beta are two different games. It's strange that Steam froze while trying to install TF2 though. Also, if you're officially part of the beta, TF2 should already be on your library, you shouldn't have to add it from the store.

The TF2 beta was in my library, as I had stated. The question here is... what is up with the TF2 in the store. Is it linux compatible? Should I try to install it rather than the beta version? Why is it a different version than the one already in the library?
