Issue Report: Superfluous focus-out and focus-in for each mouseclick.
I have KDE set up to make unfocused windows somewhat transparent, and whenever I click inside Steam window (anywhere, even on an empty gray space on the side), I see the whole window get transparent for a split second. This indicates the window loses and regains focus during a mouse click event.

I have this same issue and am running KDE as well, I also have focus follows mouse enabled. Even if the window I am clicking on already has focus it will loose focus then regain focus.

Yes, same with metacity, all the menus take the focus from the main window, which makes the window border change color while the menu is there. Funny thing is that steam run with wine does the same thing, not sure if it is related.
Actually the steam windows doesn't show the metacity borders (an option to let the window manager handle that would be nice) but I've got a shadow effect around the active window, that disappear when a steam menu is shown.

I have the same issue. Additionally the menus keep closing when moving the mouse pointer out of them. All other applications including Opera and Google Chrome do work fine.
